Phase 2: Work & Civic Engagement
PHASE 2 · 2025–2027 · ⟳ Ongoing
Young people, work, and their place in society
Countries:
Argentina · Brazil · Italy · Kenya · Mexico · Philippines · Spain · United Kingdom
What we are asking
The second phase explores how young people relate to work — not only as a source of income but as a dimension of identity, vocation, and contribution to the common good. Key areas include: professional aspirations and expectations; attitudes toward entrepreneurship, security, and social mobility; experience of precarious or unstable employment; civic and political engagement; and the relationship between personal values and public life.
Current Status
The Phase 2 survey was conducted in early 2026 with a sample of approximately 9,000 young people — nearly double the size of Phase 1, reflecting the growth of our international network. Results will be publicly presented on 13 May 2026 at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross in Rome, with simultaneous online streaming.
Focus groups will be conducted throughout 2026, and academic publications are planned for 2026–2027.
